CourseID.ClassID Class 6696.7666
Class Name Technology Integration for Learners (TICL) Summer 2016
Description

This course runs parallel to the three-day technology conference sponsored by both Prairie Lakes and Northwest AEAs (June 20-22, 2016). It focuses on the Universal Constructs: Essential for 21st Century Success (The 4 C’s: Collaboaration, Critical Thinking, Creativity, Communication) https://iowacore.gov/content/universal-constructs-essential-21st-century-success-0

It includes technology trends and resources to further integrate instructional technology in schools. The 4 C’s will be used as a lens to help teachers integrate technology in their classes and to better understand the level of rigor involved in lesson redesign. Participants are required to attend all three days and reflect on all keynote addresses and at least six breakout sessions. Participants will develop a building or district action plan based on their learning. Participants will also prepare a lesson where the technology tools are implemented to honor the 4 C’s. This will be completed and submitted by September 30, 2016. You will receive a notification as a reminder to complete the necessary work-there is NO face-to-face meeting on September 30. All submissions will be online through the Statewide AEA PD Online Moodle.
